Motherhood is full of joy but also really hard. What makes it easier is having a Mama tribe around you that can not only support you through the happy times and poo-splotions with laughter and camaraderie but also lend an ear (or even a hand) filled with compassion and understanding when times get tough.
This Postnatal Mother's Circle is for mothers up to one year postpartum. We will gather with other women at a similar stage on this journey into motherhood to reflect, exchange, support, and bond with one another. Expect a little bit of gentle postnatal specific yoga, meditation, journaling, time to think but also to express yourself. This is a baby free event which I'm hoping will give us all the space needed to just 'be'.
No yoga experience necessary, and all yoga props are provided. Please bring a pen, journal/paper, water, and wear comfortable, loose clothing.
Laura is a mother of a 2 year old boy and a specialised pregnancy and postnatal yoga instructor. Her days revolve around motherhood and all it means to her and her antenatal yoga students. After a wonderfully straightforward pregnancy, she had a traumatic birth experience, followed by postnatal depression. She knows first hand the wobbles those early stages of motherhood can bring, as she herself was in those shoes only a short while ago. She has daily exchanges with other local mums, whether friends or yoga students (or both), and hopes to become one of the mothers in your life you can count on for some support.
